Dr. Deewa Silwal, a dedicated physical therapist, aims to transform lives through movement and rehabilitation. Graduating from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS) in India in 2014 with a degree in physiotherapy, she laid the foundation of her career with a strong emphasis on compassionate care and evidence-based practice. To further her career she pursued a Master’s degree in Kinesiology from the University of Central Arkansas, honing her understanding of human movement and exercise science. Building upon this foundation, she completed her education with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from Arcadia University, solidifying their expertise in musculoskeletal health and rehabilitation.
She started her professional journey in New Jersey in 2019 and has been practicing in various settings, including home health, outpatient clinics, and rehabilitation facilities. Fueled by a deep-seated love for movement and exercise she is dedicated to providing specialized care, tailored for each patient. She has worked with various populations dealing with various musculoskeletal as well as neurological conditions but has a special affinity for geriatrics, to empower the elderly to regain independence and thrive in their daily lives. She is also a trained pelvic floor therapist and aspires to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction, helping them regain confidence, function, and a better quality of life. Besides her career, Dr. Silwal also has keen interest in exploring, traveling, hiking, as well as history and arts.
